FAQ

Do I have to pay fees or commission?

No fees! Currently all links will direct to your existing store listing pages.

The plan in the future is to add direct purchases, but all information will be upfront.

Who is currently on the platform?

You can view all the current Creators on the About page under the "Search Engine" tab.

Creators are active on social media (check their ClickStitch page for links) so you may see comments by them from time to time!

How do I upload patterns?

Creators can upload their .oxs files. Information is pulled directly from this file so it can be searched for by Stitchers.

.oxs files are preferred to prevent AI/stolen patterns.

What happens to my pattern files?

No pattern files are saved or stored directly. All the necessary information is retrieved and securely stored with any sensitive information (such as specific threads and stitch positions) requiring specific authorisation to view.

Onboarding Guide

A step-by-step guide for setting up a Creator account and adding public patterns that are discoverable by Stitchers.

Feel free to let me know of any concerns, questions or suggestions at any point! Discord can be found here.

Create an account on ClickStitch. The "Display Name" will be visible to stitchers as your Creator name.

Email will not be visible to anyone else.

Once created please let me know what email or display name you have created so that the account can be marked as a Creator.

Creator Dashboard

Once marked as a Creator, you will have access to the Creator Dashboard, accessible on the Settings page.

This will be the single source of truth for editing your Creator details and patterns.

Edit Creator Details

Your display name, description, profile image and links are all editable.

By default a link's icon will be a globe symbol, but some websites (e.g. Etsy, Ko-Fi) will have a custom icon.

Upload Patterns

Navigate to your dashboard and press the "New Pattern" button, a selection of different upload methods will be shown.

For best support, a schematic file is preferred but a PDF may also work.

If you encounter any problems, I can take a look at the file to see what the prolem is.

Edit Pattern Settings

In order to make a pattern it must first be "Promoted".

Navigate to a pattern via your dashboard and there will be a section for editing the Creator-specific details.

A shop listing URL is required, as all patterns in the search will link directly to your shop's page.

A pattern can be "Demoted" to remove it from being discoverable.
